Why Staying at the Majestic Roof Garden Hotel Works Well For a First Time Visitor to Adelaide

Our next stop in Australia was Adelaide! For those of you who don't know, Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia and though we were only there for about a day, we discovered that it is a shopping mecca due to where our hotel was located. Let me tell you about the pros and cons of staying at the Majestic Roof Garden Hotel.

The Pros

1. The hotel is considered a business hotel located on a busy street near the city's central business district. Rundle Mall (where all the shopping is) is just a couple minute walk from the hotel.

2. The rooms we stayed in were very nice and comfortable.

3. We arrived at the hotel early evening and were set to leave late afternoon the next day. The front staff was good about putting our luggage in a room near the front desk so we had time the second day to walk around before being picked up for our flight.

4. Like the name says, there is a garden on the roof! It is mostly greenery and there are places to sit up there too. We only walked up there once as since it was our first time in Adelaide, we wanted to spend most of our time exploring the city.

The Cons

1. There was no pool at this hotel :( but there was a small gym. Since we just stayed overnight and there was so much to check out within walking distance to the hotel, this wasn't a problem but generally I like to enjoy a late night swim when staying in hotels.

2. The breakfast was just ok. There was no buffet. It said included breakfast and you just order one item off a menu list. I ate it, but I much preferred other locations in Australia for breakfast.

3. Though the room was relaxing, the hotel itself wasn't as it's located on a busy street and there's not a big lobby. As soon as you walk in, the front desk is right there. People are constantly coming in and out to check in and out. Comfortable seats are there but it can get a little crowded. 

The location of this hotel is great! Rooms are very nice too. If you want to do some shopping in Adelaide or just want to be in a prime location, this hotel is a good choice.
