After visiting Adelaide, Australia, we were headed to Kangaroo Island. Now flying to Kangaroo Island is a little different than flying to other places. Specifically, we were flying to Kingscote Airport via Qantas Airways. Read on for the pros and cons.

The Pros

1. They took our larger carry-on luggage as we boarded to put them on the back of the plan. I kept a small bag with me that had a book and other items, but I let them take my mini suitcase. This turned out to be wonderful because I didn't have to hoist the suitcase above my seat nor worry about getting it down. Once the plane landed, they wheeled our suitcases over as we walked off the plane.

2. The fact that they took our larger carry-on bags made getting off the plane much faster. There were no people taking a long time trying to take their bag or suitcase from the compartment above their seats or having to walk to a different part of the plane to get a suitcase or bag.

3. The plane was not crowded.

4. A snack was passed out. We got mini cookies. I have gotten partial to pretzels on planes but appreciate any snack.

The Cons

1. After getting off the plane quicker than other planes, we had about a 15-20 minute wait to get our checked bags.

I enjoyed the short plane ride to Kangaroo Island and not having to grab my carry-on suitcase from the overhead (if other planes offer this, I wouldn't complain) and thus, not having to wait 20-30 minutes after landing to get off the plane.
