I spent an afternoon, night, and morning in Adelaide. It was my first time in this city. Read on for the pros and cons.

The Pros

1. There was shopping like I'd never seen before. The really cool thing about Rundle Mall is that the street is closed to traffic so you have plenty of room to walk around and stop in the shops lined up outside. There are also areas to duck into and many shops on the inside.

2. After arriving in Adelaide, we visited the Rundle Mall food court to get something to eat.

I also treated myself to a roll of sushi that I got from a popular outside stand.

3. The outside area was lively with people popping in the stores and walking around in the middle area between both sides of stores. They had a game set up where you could try to toss a football in a ring to win chips. Regardless of whether you got the football in, they gave you a bag of Doritos. But here's the kicker...the flavors they had were meat pie and sausage! I got a kick out of this and myself and the members of my party chose a bag of these chips. It was neat to try these flavors; however, I still prefer Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch. Another thing they had the next day was trying an electrolyte flavor. It was easy to walk up and get a sample. I didn't care for it, but I'm not really a flavored water person. The point is, though, is the atmosphere was positive and upbeat!

4. I also enjoyed popping into several of the stores. I got a couple souvenirs and also tried chocolate at a chocolate shop, which I found to be average but I can never resist a chocolate sample!

5. We also walked by the University of Adelaide. It was neat to get a peak of the campus and see college students living their life.

6. We also stopped at a bagel bakery and the toasted bagel I had with melted butter was absolutely delicious. My party also got a pack of cinnamon raisin bagels untoasted to just eat and I had part of one in the airport but much preferred the one I had toasted there which was just next level!

The Cons

1. The walk from the hotel to Rundle Street was short but not extremely intuitive.

2. As we only had a day in Adelaide, we really didn't get to explore much beside Rundle Mall and the area around it. I would like to go back and see more of the city! I didn't know there were beaches here and would have liked to have seen one.

Adelaide was a nice city to visit with being able to walk around and check out Rundle Mall. I would like to come back for a visit and go to one of the beaches!
